So I'm reading a batman comic and all of a sudden theres a knock on the door..... There stands a blue clad stranger carrying a small package. The moment that I've been waiting for has finally arrived. I take the package with thanks and quickly shut myself in my room. My heart beats ever faster as I open the box. Then there she is in all of her wicked splendor.....my new 12" sirupati. She introduces her self as Sakura and I can't say enough good things about her. This is esaily the best working/fighting knife I have ever held. Sakura can easily be concealed and is drawn in the blink of an eye. I can even draw and strike at the same time as you would with a katana. The things she whispers to me are ecstacy. For those of you who don't already own one I demand that you flood Uncle Bill with orders right now!

O.K. enough ranting sorry.

Now for the real specs.

I don't have a scale but it feels close to one pound. The length is about 12 1/2". The blade is excellently done, just one complant. Who ever marks their blades with a six pointed star needs to pratice. It looks like they just scratched the blade up. Not to sound like a jerk but if I was a master blade smith I would want everyone to know who made the blades and I would take as much pride in my mark as I would the blade. The sheath is very nice except for a small crack in the back on the leather and the frog is too tight. It won't slide up to where it is supposed to be. So when you go to draw the knife the sheath comes with it. None of these things really matter though. The blade is quite dull, but I was able to quickly trim every bush in my yard and pry some boards apart with no scratches or problems. Man I love this knife, and to think Bill suggested an AK!!

I don't know...
My 12"ak is a great knife as well.

I haven't met a kukri that I didn't like.

Got two of them.

One is 12" OAL with 8" blade and appropriate to it's size handle. Reasonable disposition.

The other is 12 1/2" OAL with 8 1/2" blade and a handle barely large enough to be perfect for nasty things. Like Audrey ( the flower ) in "Little Shop of Horrors" she keeps whispering to me "FEED ME". This one I do not wear.I keep it a step or two away so I'll be out of bed and awake before I pull it. I can't tell you just what Audrey will do if I tell her " 'sic em ". I just suspect she'll show that the Fairbairn-Sykes types are poofters, the Applegate-Fairbairns are a bit wimpy, and that the Randal#1's suffer from queasy stomachs.

Those are the 12" Sirupatis, one high strung timber-wolf/doberman cross, one well adjusted doberman. The 12" AK is a good natured rottwieller pup that would, like the well adjusted dobie, have to go some to get it into a mean temper.

Thanks for heartfelt report, Daniel. If you are happy we are happy.

Kumar made the knife -- that is his mark, the 6 pointed star. He thinks it is crazy that we want our blades marked so does not devote a lot of time to that effort.

Thanks again.
