Last week, I came to the startling realization that I had not bought a blade for myself (or received one) in almost 4 months. Shocked, I figured I should rectify the problem by browsing what was available. My initial find was a Gayle Bradley, as I had bought one for a friend and thought it a beautiful knife. Browsing some more, I came across the Paramilitary 2. I was unaware they were that (comparatively) cheap, roughly $100, for something made in America with great materials. That sealed the deal, and I ordered one and waited not so patiently over the weekend.
Well, it arrived today, and all I can say is wow. This knife is amazing. Buttery smooth, sharper out of the box than anything else I've ever got, and nigh on perfect fit and finish. I knew the PM2 was earning rave reviews, but know that I'm holding it in hand, I can definitely see why. I really am in love - the ergonomics are just perfect, the size is great, and the compression lock is quite interesting. I love the idea of it, and initial impressions sure make me feel confidant that it won't accidentally disengage due to its positioning. Spyderco really hit a home run with this knife, and it will be getting the lion's share of pocket time
I just have one question - I have seen some with Sal and Eric's logos engraved next to each other, and on opposite sides of the hole. Is this related to manufacturing date?
