So my grandson comes out of his room where him and his sister have a kitchen playset, he is carrying one of the fake knives from the set. I ask him where he is going with it and he says "this knife stinks im going to get one of your good knives." I said ok but Papa "me" with have to come with you because your not allowed to play with real knives by yourself. He says ok and for me to hurry up. He is 3 years old mind you and very very bossy lol, especially when he is in the middle of a project. So we come out to the garage and he goes strait for the King BK9, I said don't you think that's a little big for you and he said he wanted the best one lol. After that I asked him what he needed it for and he said to chop down a tree. They have a blow up palm tree in their room as well. He said he wanted to build a fort lol.

He's got good taste

Don't forget to teach him to use a lanyard to cut that tree down :D may not have that grip strength yet ;)

I had to laugh. The cutest face with that serious knife. He's off to a good start!

Hahaha awesome. My five year old nephew was outside with his dad and was rubbing his Swiss Army knife back and forth on a piece of wood. So, his dad asks "What ya doin, bud?" His reply.... "I'm sharpening my knife like Uncle Byron." I was so proud. He will be ready for a Becker soon. :)

That child deserves a new k21 kukri (held in a trust until he's good to go with it)

My goodness, that left me laughing so hard I think I snorted my coffee...

Thats a cool little man! I actually look foreward to the day that my 11 day old son will get to use the bk5 I sacked away for him... This just made me a little more antsy for that day. Not TOO soon mind you...

His sister would freek if I let him at the tree, she loves it. Im sure there will be many many more of him with real stuff when he gets a little older. He is very outdoors, he wants to be outside more than inside. Which makes me very happy cause his dad is very indoorsy, vid games and computers and what not.

Ha! What a smart lil boy! He knows a good knife when he sees it. Reminds me of myself at that age, only I had a Rambo II instead of a Becker..and I was hunting copperheads with it..uuhh.. :-) Thats a good grandson you have there, and likely the best outdoors buddy you could ask for!

Thanks for posting. What a great looking kid. I envy you grandpa. What a privilege and honor to help nurture a love of outdoors. Still waiting impatiently for first grandchildren.

When Ethan's Dad grows up, he'll appreciate being outdoors more.;)

I live near Atlanta now, and I really miss my family's place in N AL.

Great to get the young ones involved in outdoors.
Good pic there!
He'll be a choppin in no time.
They do grow up quick...
