Unfortunately I can't find the threads.Sometimes you may have similar marks produced during the manufacturing process.
I think there was a discussion on Moras having some marking from new, a few weeks ago.
Sure, why not? Maybe you dinged it against something really hard.Unfortunately I can't find the threads.
Do you think such marks can be made by using a knife, not by manufacturing?
Can you provide some background? Is this your knife? A knife you're thinking of buying that is being described as "unused"? Is the picture one that you took, or one provided by the seller? It feels like there's more going on here.
Those tiny marks could certainly be manufacturing "flaws". And I'm reluctant to even call them "flaws" because it practically takes a microscope to see them.
You are rightWhy worry about insignificant flaws in the surface of a knife blade. You need to worry about the tang stamp and it’s effect on the strength of the blade. Got a pimple on yer face?![]()
I've seen flaws like that on new blades. It could have been in a box with other blades waiting to be heat treated and got dinged. Hard to say what actually caused it.
If the knife is going to be a user, I wouldn't worry about it as it's sure to get more dings throughout the years and will add to the character. If it's a collector piece you could reach out to the dealer you bought it from and see if they will exchange it for another one that has been looked over.
Yes. This is brand new knife I bought today and they are manifacturing flaws.
It is Fallkniven f1x(blade body).
I didn't say what's going on because first, I know I'm being crazy and second, I don't speak English well...
To describe what's going on,
I have OCD and I feel frustrated when I see scratches or marks which are made during the manufacturing process.
But if I know those marks can naturally occur during use, I feel fine right away.
I know scratches can happen but I don't know about those kinds or marks
That's why I post this question... I know actual knife users hate to listen this kind of thinking. sorry
If they were local, I would set up a tent next to the dumpster behind their shop. That sounds amazing. The dealer I bought the knife from, they can't resell it because I know they dispose of all of the returned knives. I think it will be waste if I return this knife
