I finally got my paramilitary 2 (thanks nyoutdoors) after a little runaround with USPS, and I'm really digging it. I can't wait to use the hell out of it, it's definitely not going to be a closet queen. I plan on carrying it in my back pocket as an addition to my current edc, and I think it'll be perfect for that. I'm working on getting the action set just right for me, it's definitely a process on account of that whole 4 screw business, but I'm getting there. It was a little dirty and quite stiff when I got it (used), so I ran water into the pivot and washed it off but it didn't help much so I went ahead and took it apart. It was dry as a bone in there so I put a little new motor oil on the washers and pivot and it is a whole lot smoother. The oil is all I had handy but I'm going to go pick up some rem oil or something tomorrow and clean and lube it again. I gotta say, I feel pretty foolish for not giving spyderco a shot sooner. This definitely will not be my last.

And the PM2 will not be your last.

Brother I am with you. I just got my first PM2 a few weeks ago from a fellow blade forums member and it has been in my pocket the majority of the time since it arrived. I am already looking out for additional PM2s to add to my growing Spyderco collection.

I thought that EVERYBODY loved Spyderco...I know that I do...
You can add me too that list now! I can't believe I've gotten as attached as I have to this knife this quickly. Spent some time today with it on my lansky and man does this thing take an edge! Also I really like how easy is it to take it apart to clean it afterwards. Maybe 5 minutes and it's back together and perfect action. Definitely buying another spyderco soon. Maybe a native 5 or stretch lightweight, want to see what all the spyderco backlock hub bub is about.

The Breakfree I kind of like for certain applications but my overall favorite knife lube for the past 8 to 9 years has been MILITEC. They also have a synthetic grease that's really great as well.

If you like the PM2 you'll really love your first C-36 Military model which is the PM2's Big Brother  And make sure you get one of the Sprint Runs with one of the Supersteel blades. If you can find one of the M390 bladed MILITARY models you'll love it!!

Also Sentry Solutions has a dry lube product called "BP 2000" which I even like much better that Graphite or most of the other dry lubes on the market. Good to have you aboard ;) The Spyder addiction is incurable :D So plan on staying for a while :)

I ended up grabbing some 3-n-1 and I have no complaints whatsoever. It's easy to apply, doesn't reek, and my knives are working smoothly. I noticed with the white lightening they started to feel a little gummy in a short amount of time. I just ran hot water through the pivots and washed it out and applied the 3-n-1 and haven't had a problem.

I have ordered another spyderco of course lol. My Gayle Bradley 2 should be here tomorrow I hope, then I'm thinking either a stretch or sage.

I have never really taken too "White Lightning" lubricating products. And I've tried about everything in their line except that new wet lube you showed in the picture above. But I've had such great luck with Militec products and I'm from the school of thought that if it isn't broke then let's not try and fix it. But I do have a lot of respect for all of the Sentry Solution products>> particularly TUFF GLIDE and BP-2000. Their TUFF CLOTH marine grade is quite handy too.

I've said for a long time that if they ever show me a product that is significantly better than Militec's lubrication products I'll switch brand loyalty immediately.

I carried my military for the first time today. I heard a lot about how big it is. I gotta say, I pretty much forgot about it being in my pocket most of the day. Its so light its retarded for such a big knife. And I like slip2000 for lubrication. Google bcm filthy14 and you will see why.
