I'm locked up!

I bought a 1620 Scallion on ebay, new in the box, and not only is it not AO, I can't even get it to open. Whatever the locking system is, it must be pretty sophisticated, I can't figure it out.

OK, first of all, the knife should be AO. Secondly, did you unlock the tip lock near the rear of the handel. Lastly, try backing out the pivot screw a bit to see if you can open the knife then.

hey, that's pretty good,it looks like the tip is hung up on some type of pin. What should I do with the pin?

Slide it toward the end of the handel, then the blade will clear the pin. It keeps the knife locked in the closed position.

Enjoy your new fine knife. It's prefferably to carry it with the safety on. Mine opened accidentally - and I can testify the tip is sharp
