I have a few ideas of what I'd like, mainly blade shape and I was hoping the experts could suggest some shizzle.

I like wharncliffe or flat edge blades and hooked blades. So far, I've seen a few Spyderco's and a Kershaw I like.

I want it to be easy to open with a thumb flick and have a solid locking mechanism. Any suggestions?

My favorite is the Centofante 4:

Awesome deal, good construction. 45 bucks from NGK. Only problem is the Centofante is less than easy to flick. I can do it, after some practice, but it definitely isn't the easiest.

Well, I lied, my REAL favorite is the 921

But it's rather expensive. It'll probably be my next (and maybe last) axis lock

I'd go with the Spyderco Centofante 4, I have mine in my pocket as I type. I think it's one of the nicest and most overlooked FRN Spydercos. I find it ideal for city carry.
