I'm looking for a left handed (ambidextrous) folder knife kit. every kit i have seen is right hand carry/open. Also i am really looking for a lockback, rather than liner lock. A fast, easy opening "tactical" type for my work. Many times I have only one hand available or have gloves on, etc. I was last carrying a benchmade pika and lost that at work somewhere. If the order isn't already impossible good steel 440c, 154cm, D2, etc. much preferred. I do make fixed blades but have never made a folder. I think a kit knife might help me venture down that road someday. Any ideas/info would be greatly appreciated.

I'm subbing for follow up.

FWIW I bought a lefty crkt M16 and disassembled it to make a few changes to the blade. Not sure if it'll meet your needs. But buying a left model and then taking it apart was as close to a kit I could find back in July.

How much more ambidextrous do you want a lockback to be? Buy a Delica, take it apart, switch the pocket clip.

its not the lockback part, its the pocket clip side and position and the way the knife opens. most only have them set up for right handed.

you asked for a kit, and there really arent many leftie kits, just look for ambi locks and spydie hole/cutouts for opening, or dual thumbstuds, etc. lots of options there as pre-made knives
