I'm looking for large, cheap folder with "wave" equivalent

Hi
Im looking for a new folding knife:
-not expencive
-large
-heavy
-with comfortable handle
-with top-guard, working like a "wave" in Emersons and Endura Wave
-made in Taiwan, not in China [unnessery]

my types:
-CRKT M-21 SF
-A.O.W. TT2214K
-CRKT Desert Cruiser


witch has a best lock, edge retention etc.?
witch is close as good as a Emerson during "wave opening"
maybe Somebody knows better knife this type?

I had an Endura 4 [without wave] long time ago, and I sold it, without regret
I'm looking for something different...
 
Boker Armed Forces Tanto is an awesome waveable knife, (Made in China though), but it is a very tough design and blade, 440C steel.. Cold Steel Spartan is great to if you are looking for LARGE
 
I think the issue you're going to face is that only two companies, to my knowledge, are legally permitted to have legitimate wave openers on their knives:

1. Emerson, because the patented the damn thing
2. Spyderco, because Emerson allows them to.

I've seen one or two knives that had "thumb ridges" that happened to also indent which basically made it a wave but a lot of knives I'd love to see a wave on don't have it and you'd have to wave it yourself.
 
With that said though, one example of the thumb ridge being a thinly veiled disguise for a wave opener is the Cold Steel Rajah II.
 
I snagged a chinese imitation commander that was heavy and waved for like $9. I was afraid toi try and bend the blade for fear I could, but like I said, it was heavy, waved, and cheap.

What the heck was wrong with the Endura? Aside from weight, that seems like just the thing.
 
You asked for best edge retention and comfortable handle and in the Wave cattegory that will probably be the Endura Wave.

Personally I don't like cheap heavy knives. But hey if that's your thing give your local swapmeet a look. I'm sure they'll have something you'll like:D
 
One of the Cold Steel Espadas. It's REALLY large, not sure about cheap, but it does have the wave.
