I have read the Posts:

Favorite Junk Knife

Worst knife you've ever purchased

I'm looking for posts for the best knives to purchase for under:

$100.00

$200.00

$300.00

$400.00

$500.00

A brief reason why you like the knife, type of steel blade, handle etc., if you have more than one please post them. Just a short cut to the good stuff that is hidden out there.
I use this web site:

https://www.thefind.com/

to find the different products that are available including knives. This will also cut through the BS reviews that people post at the different sites. I want reviews from real knife people. This will make it easier for newbies and others.

Thank You

Hard to paint a fine picture with such a broad brush. CRK, Spyderco, Emerson, Benchmade, Kershaw/Zero Tolerance, Case, GEC, BladeForums resident knifemakers.... the list goes on.

Surf and lurk here long enough and the good ones will present themselves.

Under $100:
LionSteel Opera--D2, great blade, doesn't see a lot of use, its my suit knife.
Spyderco Dragonfly ZDP-189--Insane edge retention, great ergos even for a guy like me with xl hands.

Under $200
Spyderco Manix 2 CTS-XHP sprint--Hard to find now, especially under $200, but really like this steel and knife.
Spyderco Gayle Bradley--CF, M4, great ergos. M4 is very impressive.
ZT--0801, 0770CF, 0561, great knives, Elmax is good so far.
Brous Bionic--D2, flipper, great little knife.

Under $300:
Well, its right at $300, but the Three Sisters Forge Beast--CPM S35VN. Amazing knife. My favorite.

I'm gonna add my own category for super budget knives, since they're really in their own category.

Under $50:
Ontario RAT1/2, ESEE Zancudo/Avispa: Good build quality, budget materials. Useful blade shapes, no frills. Great value.
Kershaw/Emerson line: Emerson ergos and designs in a smaller package. Better F&F than a real Emerson. Wave opener is both useful and fun.

Under $100:
Spyderco Manix 2, G10 or LW: Incredible ergos. Very useful blade shape, fun axis-style lock. The basic LW model has subpar steel, but still makes a good EDC.
BM mini-grip: Not really under $100 any more, but I'll still put it here since you can find them this cheap if you look hard enough around the web. Good blade shape, great all-rounder steel. Perfect size and weight for a small EDC. Axis locks are the best. Does have F&F problems regularly though.

Under $200:
Spyderco Para2: One of the most popular EDC designs out there. Great slicer, super lightweight, good EDC size. Love spyderco's S30V too. Many variations to collect.
BM 710: Huge blade with a slim handle that's easy to carry. Axis lock.
BM 940: Good blade to handle ratio, large blade for its handle size. Unique blade shape. Super light, axis lock. Not the value it once was, as with all BMs.
ZT 0561, 0562, 0801: All medium to large EDC sized. Elmax and Ti is a bargain at this price. Bearing pivots flip like a dream.

Under $300:
Southern Grind Bad Monkey: Best CF handle scales I've ever held. Very cool handle and blade design. Incredible F&F on par with Chris Reeve. Steel is easy to sharpen but won't hold an edge very long at all. Custom hardware makes it a pain to disassemble.

Under $400:
Small Sebenza 21: Best small EDC ever made. Bar none.

Under $500:
Large Sebenza 21/25/Umnumzaan: Best mediun/large EDC knives ever made. Chris Reeve's quality and reputation speak for themselves.

I just wanted to see if anyone had any favorites that I could review.
