So I'm looking to buy another folding knife. My budget is $150. I currently own the Southard and PM2. I really enjoy these knives, and have owned benchmades, kershaws, CRKTs and other knife brands and decided I want to stick with Spyderco for now. I'm looking for another non serrated general purpose blade.

I'm considering the Gayle Bradley, but I'd love to hear all your suggestions.

Thanks in advance.

You can't go wrong with a Gayle Bradley. It is a great knife. I love the grind. I haven't had any experience with them but I plan to get one don the road. Only thing I have heard is about the lock being hard on your thumb

Yeah it looks like a really great knife, nice steel, nice look, great blade shape. I might go that direction, but I'm open to exploring other options too :D.

I've been looking at the Manix2. I think it's a good option as well. Does the locking system work similar to benchmade knives?

Ditto on the Gayle Bradley. A bit hefty, but excellent fit & finish, ergos and blade performance. Hard to beat for the money. Something a bit sleeker than what you have is the Caly 3.5 ZDP, another great performer.

I have over 40 Spyderco's and I just rediscovered the usefulness and amazing ability of the Manix 2. I had the original but it was too big and bulky. The second iteration might be the perfect compromise of a pocket knife. Course, ask me next week and I will recommend the Military :)

One Spyderco that I feel is often overlooked is the R Nishijin. It's like a big ol' fancy Delica... the nishijin weave glass-fibre covers are hypnotically beautiful and my crappy pic doesn't do the knife justice! :o

There is so many we could recommend and is most cases we wouldn't be wrong, but if you're even remotely leaning towards the GB... dude, just get it. I doubt you'll regret the decision.

Spyderco Chokwe - It's been discontinued and is an excellent knife. It looks a little weird but it's a great knife.
You can get it for under $150, but likely not for much longer, because when they become rare or scarce the price will shoot up.

These all seem like good options. I think I'm stuck right now between the Manix2 and the Gayle Bradley. Thanks for the interesting options everyone.

Gayle bradley gets my vote i traded my original a while back amd now just traded again to secuure a replacement, dont know what you got till its gone, very nice blade indeed

I haven't had any experience with them but I plan to get one don the road. Only thing I have heard is about the lock being hard on your thumb

If the lock on the GB is hard to release you need to do something to build up the muscles in you thumb.:D

The GB is 1 of the best Spyies made. The lock is not hard to release.

I'd go by personal experience, not what someone says.
