I'm a spyderco collector going on a dozen years now. Ifa new release caught my eye I'd try and pick one up as a matter of course.

Recently I've picked up a quartet of blades that have just exceded all of my past expectations; I refer to the carbon fiber collaborations of,

Terzuola slip-it with s30v.
Gayle Bradley with M4.
Michael Walker in ZDP.
Tim Zowada in VG10.

I love this trend, I know there is a CF Lum Chinese coming...what's next for collaborations in CF? Who would you like to see?

I have to agree with you on these trends. I'm not a huge Spydie fan, but several (including the Bradley) have caught my eye. The first piece I bought was the Stretch II CF ZDP-189, which I thought was one hell of a knife (even if not a collaborative piece). There will probably be more, even if I am an ardent CR Knives fan.

I do like CF, but I must say that the gorgeous CF scales in the Sage 1 and the Bradley have spoiled me and I have been unable to warm-up to the new knives with the smooth CF. Therefore, no Walker or Zowada for me.:(

I have so many red and black boxes - they are stacked like a cord of wood! :D:eek::thumbup:

Absolutely agree on those scales, Cisco.

Okay, the more I think about the more I'm liking the idea of a Carbon Fiber JDSmith.

Who would ya'all recommend to mod one of the extra FG JDSmiths I got with CF scales?
Is it even possible?
