Just wanted to let you guys know that while I'm not posting a lot, I still check the ESEE forum every day. I'm just usually checking the forums in between heat treats and stuff like that. You guys are still my main homies and the best group around. Knife making is fun, but it's taking up A TON of my daytime. It used to be that I would surf Bladeforums all day long to make the day go by at work. Now I work my ass off all day. I'm a lot happier now and very happy with how everything is coming along, but it does kill a lot of my ESEE forum playtime. I just thought I'd give a shout out and let you guys now I'm still around.

PEACE!

Who are you again?????

:D I was thinking about you last night as I used the Delta Foxtrot to cut up some cardboard out in the shop.

Yes working a lot dose take fun time away from here,I'm also buried at work and things after work.hope things stay busy for you,and liking your job is a plus.
keep hydrated while heat treating .
take care.

Dylside, shave quarter inch off the blade width of the Hatchula, as a sort of survival/SERE blade-not as much of a chopper, but more beefy than the DF. That'd be sweet! PS I think you could lose the ricasso too, as big as the integral guard is I doubt you'd need one there

Got any blades in the works?

Oh Gawd yes. I have been chopping, grinding and burning all over some A2, 5160, and have some badass new designs in the works. I'm going to give ONE sneak peak into some of the new complete awesomeness coming from Fletcher Knives. JUST ONE. I took a long vacation and spent a lot of time thinking about directions I wanted to go with knife making and things I wanted to try. I came back with a lot of ideas and here is one of them.

After I finished heat treating and doing the finish grinds and the edge, I tested it on an ESEE Fire Kit.
...A little too effective.

Don't be sneaking out of the shadows posting this teaser trash for us poor folks...

Good to see you around Dylan. I was just thinking about shooting you an email yesterday to see if things were going alright. From the sound of it, things are going excellent....

Cute? .....CUTE?
I hate you.:grumpy:
:D
circe you asked nice, I could maybe come up with a better description, but I wouldn't want to make a pig of myself.
Next time I'll troy harder.
I wouldn't want you to think I was being a heel.
I'll get some ajax and clean up my act -- that better?

hahaha. Yup.

By the way, I spoke with the legendary Sandy Morrissey today and he'll be making my sheaths for these two bad boys. I've done up a sketch of what I want, but ultimately I'm looking more for Sandy's interpretation since he is the master.

Here's the sketch. I really like the old school, traditional aspect of this style of sheath. It can be worn with the frog on a belt, or just tucked in a belt, or just throw it in a pack without the frog.

Dylside,

Just wanted to say, I really like what you're doing, and you've got a future
