I think that they are totally worth getting. I have had a 42 for a long while now and it is just fantastic, it feels the same manipulating it as it did the afternoon I brought it out of it's box. POS sheath though, which reminds me.... . .. .....anyway, I paid over $170 for mine and I think that it's worth every penny of it.

Do you do manipulations with them or just collect?

Could you please post pictures of your balisong collection??

Welcome to the forum!...
Call me crazy...but I bought six of them. I have one pre-pro,three first pro and two reg.
productions for everyday play.I really like them,Although one of them has a slightly shorter handle than the other.
Another thing is getting use to the lightness of it.Other than that,It's a great knife to add to your collection.

Welcome to the forums.

If you like the older Benchmade and Pacific Cutlery stuff, then you'll love the model 42......... Especially if you're into flipping them a lot.

You're a lucky guy!

When I bought my first #42 it costed me $250 for a first production model here in Japan. Still feel its worth its $$$.

For your broken cheapies: go to www.balisongxtreme.com under "tips and tricks" and you'll find out how to fix them!!

As for posting pics, when you are in the "reply" screen where you type in your message, to the left of the screen there is a hyperlink that says "*UBB Code is ON" just click on that and read about how to do cool stuff on the forum (mainly posting pictures).
