hello.

my name is brad.
i am a new member here.

i just bought a bob lum titanium tanto.
plain blade with the numbers C46P S-240 9/18/00
on the box.

this is my first knife.
i love martial arts and japanese culture and this blade seemed right.

i paid about 99.00 dollars for it new.
it has beed discontinued. that i know.

anybody familiar with this knife or does anyone
have specs on it.

this would be appreciated.

thanks again and i'm glad to be here

Welcome Brad:) You picked a great Spydie as a 1st knife. I have a Bob Lum folding Tanto that I have used hard for over two years. It is one of the strongest, well made Spydies I have. I'm sure it will serve you well.

thanks.

i'm hoping to find the exact specs on it.
spyderco.com does not keep a back log of
its "body of work" over the years.

i wonder why?

it would be nice to have a reference to compare every model
ever made.

discontinues knives should be on the site, but they are not.

Hi Brad and welcome to the Forum. Congratulations on your new fine knife. Ti handled ones are hard to find nowadays.
C46P is the code of the knife (C=clip it, 46 = Bob Lum Tanto, P = plain edge); can't tell about the other figures, the knife could have belong to a collector or something.
They made the last ones with black blades and G-10 scales, BTW :D
Bob Lum also has with Spyderco the Chinese Folder, (also discontinued but still can be found) and a fixed blade (Tanto, of course).
