Hello!!

well I'm visiting you from México, I'm new in this forum. I been collecting buck knives since a little while and my everyday carry blade it's been the Buck 55, thats why I'm looking for a decent, custom made, leather sheath. I been carrying it in the pocket, but I think it's time to an upgrade. I tried the 501 squire sheath, but it's a little big. Also, I preffer the horizontal carry method. any suggestion? where can I buy it (online of course)?

sorry, my English is not very good :)

thanks

Hello and welcome to the Buck Forum. A 501 sheath with a little tissue stuck in the bottom would have been my first thought.
Sorry I can't answer your question but I do find a little humor in it since Buck has many of its sheaths made in Mexico.

I've seen a number of sheaths in my part of the world that were crafted by local saddle shops (a lot of them around here). I know that a lot of the Saddle makers around here love to do odd leather jobs on the side churning out all things leather. I'd ask around, if possible on the local level if I were you.

Welcome Buck 55 if you look at the top of this page and click on the Exchange button and scroll down to the " custom shop " you might find someone there , good luck .

Wow, that would be like carrying a toothpick on your belt. :) I talked to Liz at Buck Knives and she said they have two leather pouches that fit the 55 in stock. A brown pouch with a belt clip and a black pouch without a belt clip. I ordered two of the black ones and it's being delivered as we speak. These pouches are not shown on Buck's website. Here is a photo that might be one of the black ones:
