I've been lurking around a bit and finding my way around. This has become one of my favorite stopping places. There is just something about the traditional knives that has a hold of my heart.

While at an estate sale this last Saturday I picked up two old Sears Craftsman knives. An "Old Crafty" stockman #9547 and an American Eagle folding hunter #95026 without the lock. I'm sure I paid too much for them but not bad. It is a start and I have a lot to learn.

i bought a used Craftsman 9547 also. mine came with a broken tip that was fixable and a chunk of the scale missing....
after a little super glue to fill the gap and some dremel work it looks OK.. couldn't pass it up for $6

im glad you like the traditional forum hope to see you around
