I'm new to knives

Congratulations on your choice. Very sound choice. Many people love the Tenacious. I prefer the Native 5 as it is a little smaller, but it does cost more. So.... what can I say? It is best to avoid knives made by Ganzo and similar companies.

I imagine most here would agree you made a step up. I still have my blacked out combo edges Tenacious. It’s what kicked off my knife hobby so be warned, haha. The next knife I went to was a PM2, and from there I conquered the world! Well, not entirely. Close though, I swear!
 
That was MY first Spyderco! Oh how long ago that was. Great knife! Felt good in hand, could middle finger flick that sucka all day.

*sigh*

That was a few years ago & a whole lot $ spent chasin' that dragon. (FYI...still chasin' it) CONGRATS!!!

Congradulations! You made an excellenr choice. Spyderco is a great company and you will love your knife.

Ganzos don’t get much love around here since they copy other people’s designs but we all start somewhere and gain knowledge as we continue in the hobby.

The Tenacious is a great knife that could serve you for an entire lifetime.
 
Tenacious is a decent knife. You'll only spend more $$ from this point ;-)

I'm using my ganzo for stripping small branches of bark and shaping/ carving, love to see the wood grain underneath, live next to a small wooded area/nature park and the knife is great when I go there with the grandchildren. Grandad cut that do this with your knife. I'm looking forward to my Tenacious arriving, Thank you for your reply.

I have a native 5 lightweight. I think dollar for dollar in a modern, the native 5 and manix 2 are about the best I've seen .
 
The tenacious is a great choice. If another budget knife is something you may like to get a byrd raven 2 is a great choice. I've used one a great deal and love it. You can get one from 35 to 45 dollars or so

Since you're across the pond from the US, maybe one of the Falkniven folders would fit your needs and look damn good at the same time. No idea what pricing would be like in England.
