I'm not a big fan of factory knives, but I recently bought a Kershaw Leek with the composite D2 blade (model 1660CB) and this thing is very impressive for under $50. The assisted opening jumps out there and locks in solid with a frame lock. Once locked up there is no play in the blade in any direction. The D2 edge is one of the sharpest out of the box that I have seen and with a slight touch up it is a razor. It also has an extra safety that you can engage to keep it securely closed if desired. I have taken to EDC'ing it and am very happy with it. At first it reminded me of another small knife I have, the SOG Twitch XL, but besides size and general blade shape there is little similarity. The Kershaw is twice the knife of the SOG for less money; there is no comparison in quality or substance.
 
Congrats on the Kershaw, that knife there is one of the best deals on the market. CPM D-2 is a very well balanced steel type (edge retention like standard D-2, and tougher at the same time). Normally you don't see steel like that on a knife under $100.
