I was trying to remember how I became so obsessed with Becker knives. I know why, they are high quality masterful crafted pieces of steel.
I think it all started with youtube, but I don't remember what I was looking for. I ended up seeing a review on the BK2 and another and another. I have a few Fixed blade knives from walmart bushmaster to SOG and CRKT, In my job I find alot of folding knives that guys (and gals) leave in their work pant pockets, so its safe to say I wil not "have" to buy a pocket knife again. I was really struggling with which to buy, the BK2 or BK16, I ended up with the BK2 and having been all over youtube and lurking in this forum, I went to work stripping the coating off and playing around with patina. I also threw some olive green Duracoat on the scales and sheath. Being a part time, Hobby gunsmith I have alot of the tools and a fair knowledge of metal work to come up with a nice look. But I'm not happy with how dark it has become so an etching session is in my near future as soon as it warms up (18 degrees today).

My next Becker will be the BK14, although I am still thinking BK11, I have a slab of brown canvas micarta for some custom scales. I will be sure to post when that is here and completed.

Any how I just wanted to introduce myself to the Becker Crew and comment on how much I have learned and enjoy reading this forum.

Here is the BK2 after a few hours with the wood stove cranking in the shop.
