I have just recently passed the stage of simply carrying a knife into being obsessed and wanting to collect. I think I have officially become addicted tonight. I was given one of those Visa Gift Cards, and as soon as I saw it i already had a knife picked out....:D

I know... $400 on knives this month... and that doesn't include my archery obsession. I am in trouble......

In the same boat, already jonesing for another to add to the collection. Did someone mention archery? Nooooooo - only enough $$ for one hobby!

LOL, me too. I've spent $400 in the last three weeks (which is nothing I suppose). Three knives are in the mail. I'm constantly looking for the postman/UPS/whatever guys. I check Walmart every time I'm in there just in case they get a new supply of Kershaws. And I spend most of my free time reading on here or shopping for my next knife. I really want to spend at least $1k on knives and equipment but that's gonna have to wait. On and on...

figured thats why yer here. thats why we're all here. totally understandable.

Welcome and hang on tight - it's gonna be a wild ride.

The beauty of the forums, if used correctly, is to help educate and guide you through the endless knife possibilities.

Also - if you have the patience (I don't) - you can get some really good deals through the Exchange.

Im really interested in an Izula. I like the deal at knifeworks of the blaze orange one with the "survival" kit too

Welcome you're among friends.

But you're not addicted, you're only obsessed.

If you were addicted, you're credit cards would be maxed out, you'd be in
forclosure, sitting on the barren floor, eating spam, waiting for the mailman :D (chuckle)

What knives by the way ?

My problem really began when I discovered Benchmade's Axis lock earlier this month. I have always collected knives, I have some really high end Bucks, mostly for hunting, etc and some Knives of Alaska skinners and capers, many various Victorinox, Leatherman, gerber and buck multitools and have been EDC'ing a Buck Vantage Pro (still love that knife).

2 weekends ago I happened into a knife shop and decided on a whim to pick up a BM Griptillian. I have some nice autos and spring assists, but I was floored by how much I like the Axis lock. Then I saw a really good deal on a BM 950 rift with black handles and a satin blade - now the buck has been replaced as my EDC knife (the rift fits my hand perfect). Then I had to have a Bone Collector, and another rift (this morning - because it had the grey and black handles... now I think I need one with the grey and black handles and the black blade.). I have become obsessed! I have owned other benchmades before, and I like some of them, but I really like the axis lock - I think it is faster than an auto, and easier to close 1 handed.

There is no known cure but you can treat the symptoms.
Buy a knife. Repeat as necessary. Hope this helps.
