How does it compare to different knives of similar size (cold steel Bark River and other big knives on the market):)

How does L6 compare to other carbon steels in general? Just curious as I am not too familair with L6.

love their style just wondering how it compares to cold steel trailmaster bowie laredo bowie and similar knives.....hope its tough enough

L6 is a tough tool steel. Bryan makes his blades right and they are full convex.

Have you googled Svord ?

They will cut way better than a standard Trailmaster.

L6 is a good realistic steel that holds a decent edge and anybody can sharpen it.

Very cool and unique knives.

yes I googled but there isnt much info about that particular model.love the rustic looks and plan to use it hard.Wonder if its stronger and tougher than esee Junglass

ive got a svord bowie axe that ive had since 1990..i reprofiled the top edge so it would pierce better...it is the toughest knife i have,or have ever seen..i used it as a demolition tool for 9 years...very very tough knife..

L6 is the steel gransfors and wetterlings use for axeheads , svord give it a special heat treat.
I think the Von Tempsky's forest ranger mythology with this knife is more interesting than modern day special forces / tactical marketing etc.

I have Von Tempsky (also had another model) for about 1,5 years now and it's definitely my favorite knife. It's amazingly versatile knife thanks to it's grind and reasonable blade thickness. L6 is tough as hell!

The "coating" comes off with mere lime, and eversince stripping it I have added heavy gray patina to it, wich makes this knife look like straight out of frontier. I love how simple and "unpolished" this knife is.

One of the most underrated knives I know.

I just ordered one and it will be here next week. Have wanted one for some time but it seems to be hit or miss on who has them. Emailed Svord and Bryan Baker hooked me up with an importer for them and then the importer hooked me up with a vendor so I ordered one! keepem sharp

Where do you guys usually buy your Svord knives from? Directly from the company? Because I'm interested in the 280H (the knife alongside the Von Tempsky above) and I can't seem to find it at any online retailer. Someone has one for $200 on ebay which seems like a stretch because one NZ retailer had it for about $140 USD.
