Well truth be known I have been ready since I heard about them.

I have wanted the BK-17 since the beginning.

But lately the 15 is gaining my attention.

I have almost always had a Clip Point since I was young. So I just gravitate that way. But my BK-5 has worked well for me. So that hepls the 15 interest.

Uses would be just a general purpose knife. Hiking, camping, Bushy Crafting, KP, and just general woods bumming.

I'll probably sell something else and end up with all three at some point, but I have to start somewhere.

Real life use advice and or action pictures would be appreciated

Thanks,
LV,

This is the only picture I could find of my BK-17. The day I got it, I wanted to see how it would fare as a camp knife. It sliced up some food very nicely. I have not batoned with it but it has done everything else I have asked of it.

Love my 15! I didn't "fisk"it but I did knock the shoulder off and stone it to mirror convex. It is sharp!

I like all of em, so I wont be much help..lol
If you want a knife that feels tougher, get a 17 for the saber grind. To be fair though, the 15, 16, 17 they are all great knives and all tougher than you might think.

get the 16 -- if, after using it for a bit, you decide you prefer the clip point, it's easy enough to mod -- and then you have a FFG "17"...

Well after a mild internal discussion with myself, Tomar's has been given the green light to send me a BK-15.

I will most likely end up with a 17 down the road, and probably the 16 too at some point,

Who knows maybe I'll put one of my BK-6s up to fund some smaller toys. Have to see what the little guy feels like when it arrives.

Thanks for all the pictures and feedback,

LV

You will be uber glad you got the BK-15. The missus (if you have one) may even abduct it for kitchen duty. It is a great blade. You will wonder why someone didn't invent it sooner & why it took you so long to get one !!! :D

I was sent a BK-17 by m.j.carp(thanks bro!). I've been very happy with it. I was looking for a blade larger than my Spyderco Endura, but smaller than my Ka-Bar. I wanted a blade than would be easy to get and keep sharp off just a pocket sized DMT sharpener, and the utility of the clip point as well. I'll probably try m.j.carp's BK-15 one day to see how it compares, and I might even like it better. But in this case I wanted to stick with what I knew, which is clip points. Order one or the other(or the other) and while you'll probably be happy with any of the three options, and I doubt you'll end up with just one. :)

Thanks for that link, I had not seen it before, makes me feel even more confident I will like it.
