Yep, something about that blade sings my name. Anyway, I'm ready to buy one. However, I do want some custom engraving work done on it. Is that something that can be done or does someone here on the HI (or other) board do as a biz or hobby?

Totally 100% agree with Steve. The Kamis, while fantastic craftsmen, are by and large illiterate. Starting with a blank slate, so to speak, and having a local artist who is not half a world away and speaks your language will ensure that you will be pleased by both the craftsmanship of the blade as well as the engraving. If he has the time, Gravertom has shown to be an unparalleled engraver:thumbup::D

Mine would be "Uva Uvam Vivendo Varia Fit". I think it means either "We don't rent pigs" or " It would be a pleasure to shoot at an educated bandit for a change".

Tutor et ultor . . . I protect and avenge.

Famously used by a wing in the USAF (my old hometown).

I agree, if it's Latin then have someone here do it. If it was a dragon or something they'd probably do OK with it.

A group of us had a HI Tarwar engraved for a presentation. It was done by local very well established trophy shop. They did an great job, using both a logo and fancy words:) Tarwars rule!
