Hey guys, I'm representing an online knife business and we are looking for people that are knowledgeable and passionate about knives to write for our site. What we are looking for is people to write knife reviews, tutorials or stories that involve knives (or swords). Since that is basically what this forum is, I though this would be a good place to extend this opportunity!
Basically, how this is going to work is that anyone who is interested is welcome to participate and submit a piece of writing. Think of this as a trial run where we can have a look at each person's writing. From there we will select one or two or three people to be official Bladeworld (http://www.bladeworld.net) writers. Terms will be negotiated with those who are chosen from the preliminary round of submissions and these people will be reviewing products for us, writing tutorials and sharing stories and insights about their experiences in the field with the knives that we carry. Instead of going out and hiring professional journalists to do this task, we thought this would be a fresh and dynamic way to get real people involved and give everyone an equal opportunity to do something they enjoy. Pictures and video are welcome.
Initial submissions can be on anything knife related and feel free to be creative, personal, funny and yourself. There is nothing rigid about this so use your imagination!
When it is all said and done, writers will be featured in the main blog on our site, but the initial round of submissions will go in our forums (http://forums.bladeworld.net). If you are interested in this opportunity, you can submit your pieces there now (please indicate a [review] or [tutorial] like that so we can pinpoint them easily), or you can PM me on here and I can give you my personal email if you have any questions. We will be providing discounts for the purpose of these submissions on the knives in our store if you wish to purchase one of our knives to review.
