Ok, what led me to Becker knives and all you nice folks in the first place was researching survival/bushcraft knives. Well I started to read how well people liked their BK2's so I bought one and loved it. So then someone comes up with the brilliant idea of the Beckerhead BK10 and I buy one of those. Thats when things got confusing. I love my BK2 for heavy camp work and hacking and whacking but I find myself handling the BK10 more! once I get a different sheath for for the 10 I think it will see a little more belt time. I feel like I'm trying to choose between my two kids. :) (plus I just got layed off from my crappy job and I'm bored shytless) Lovin my hope and change I can tell ya that....I think I just threw up a little in my mouth.

That pretty much sums it up right there. You simply can't choose between your kids, so you do things each one likes & also try to get some 1 on 1 time with each one. Nothing wrong with that. Just enjoy the time spent-period !

I have trouble with that too. My favorite Becker is cyclical in nature. For every "favorite Becker poll" I answer what my current favorite is. It changes weekly. right now I like the 7. Last it was the 10 preceded by the 9.

Good luck on finding your new job. If the other one was crappy they might have done you a favor.-

Sorry to hear about the job.

As far as BKT's go, I look at it like this, as long as you have one, you're good. Doesn't matter which one. I bounce around between certain knives, and to tell you the truth, I been carrying my BK10 alot lately. And my FBF Bushcrafter. I change blades up, but in the back of my mind, there is only one I would grab to head out into an uncertain situation. Other than that, they are all my favorite.

it's easy. you use the one that is closest to hand.

with kids, it's the same thing. first one you see is the one that does that chore you have in mind, so you don't have to stand up. just the way the wife does it, except typically there's only one and it's you ;)

Sorry, I wasn't really whinning about the job loss it wasn't that great anyhow, we'll see what the future holds. But enough of that....Yea I just can't seem to put that BK10 down. I mean I love my BK2 and it's near indestructability (is that a word?) from chopping and whacking tree's to having to throw it at a charging moose.....uh well uh uh I mean big dead tree... :) I guess the only thing really stopping me from carrying the 10 more is the sheath... It is just not the type I prefer...I'm still working that out, but when I do the 2 might have to see BOB duty for awhile and the the 10 more belt work.

Don't be confused. Be awesome. I think that is a sound strategy.

I bought a 14 first, and then a BK7. Now I don't know what to buy next...I'm just too covered by those 2 knives. Chop chop chop, whittle whittle whittle...Machax will probably be my next purchase, and then a couple of the tweeners.

I have just started my Becker collection but I cant wait until I have that problem.

I plan to wear them all at once like a bat man utility belt.

I love those smaller knives. These tweeners are going to be grand. Don't get me wrong I love those big choppers but I got a special love for the utility knives. Didn't get a chance to hop on these 10s unfortunately. Seriously considered not going to school this year to afford one:p. Would have too if I thought for a second my old man wouldn't come down and beat me with a toaster.

You picked school over a Becker? WTF ;) J/K my boy is in his last year at the University of Idaho and I couldn't be prouder. I like you dads choice of weapons though. :)

Yeah, your dad sounds like a stand up guy.

Haze, you need a BK2. If any of you do not have one, and are looking for another option, that is the one you shoulda got first, so now is the time to get it.
