I'm so old that.....

I remember when Ogg first cut himself on an obsidian chip and cried, "Eureka!"

Folding knives, heck we didn't even have sheaths since we hadn't invented leather yet.
Why we didn't even have handles.

I never knew that Bob Ogg worked with obsidian.
I do know that he was a prolific folder maker and quite a character.

Here's one of Bob's folders.

Here's a bowie made by his stepson Max Burnett.

We didn't cut anything, we tore it apart with our bare hands and ate it raw!!!

I remember when before knives were invented and all you had was a slightly pointy broken stick- if you were lucky. Making one object into multiple pieces (the word "cutting" wasn't around either) involved a lot of poking with a stick, or sitting around waiting for the object to naturally crack/decay into the right shape.

...I remember the days before the pocket cilp, when most everyone carried a Buck 110 in a black leather belt-pouch.

You think you are old? Ha. I am so old I remember when blades rusted before your very eyes! I am so old, I remember when SAKs were often ridiculed as a newfangled solution to a nonexistent problem. (Some of you may remember). And yes Lavan, I too remember when cutting was actually important!
I am so old, I sometimes forget to remember if I forgot it or not. :D  :D

I'm so old that:

I bought my first knife at age 6, a Case, and I still have it.
You could buy autos(Schrades) in 5&10's for 2 or 3 bucks (in NY no less).
