I'm sorta ashamed to ask this . . .

Any suggestions where to pick a batch of the cheap-ass knives that seem to be for sale all over the place now. I was selling knives (mostly Bark River Products, all quality stuff) at a gun show this weekend, and my nine-year old stepdaughter thought it was really kewl and insisted on "helping" all weekend. She really got into it. (In fact, Cindy had brought her some sort of bead set to play with, and damn if she didn't sell a braclet she made). Cindy and I thought it would keep her occupied if, at my next show in a couple of weeks, she had her own little section and sold her own inexpensive stock.

So . . . any ideas?

Cute kid, in the pic you had on the other forum.

I'm sorta embarrassed to answer, but ... do you really want to encourage people buying cheap knives? There's got to be a better way! :D (Is it legal to have her actually selling?)

Maybe she could sell lanyards or sheaths?

Let the young lady pick her favorites out of your stock and then set her up on a side of your table all her own, let her decorate, display, etc. and sell the knives for you. Tell her what price you have to have for the knife. Anything she sells for above that price is her's.

Just because she's a kid doesn't mean she has to sell junk. This is an excellent opportunity to teach your daugher about good knives and about retail business.

Why don't you continue to sell the good quality knives, and she can sell the accesories.
Knife sharpeners, cases, lanyards, flitz, ect. ect...
I know when I am walking through a gun show, I can glance at a table, and if I see junk, I keep walking.
Just a thought.

uhmm...."Cheap" is a pretty relative term...

I would suggest Gerbers, Bucks, Opinels, CRKT, Remington, Case,Victorinox, etc. Guess Schrades are outta the question...

If you're by chance looking for Chinese import, clones and such don't hold your breath around here.

Best of luck to you an' the young'un!
