Don't know if anyone noticed, but I more or less disappeared.

Here's an update on my mom, she had a bypass done, and she was finally released just a few days ago, after being in the hospital for 2 weeks. She seems to be doing better, although she's not having her best day since she's been released. She's quit smoking, for now, and we're all watching what she eats.
Plus, since the semester ended, I've been working 7 days a week, although that's nothing compared to what the friendly neighborhood shrink has been working.

Happy fathers day to all the dads out there, and I'm going to try and keep up with everything better than what I have.

Bob it's good to hear your mom is doing better even if she had a bad day today.
That's to be expected after a major surgery and usually gets better with time.

And don't worry about not being here.
Moms are the most important person in the world to each of us and we need to be there for them as much as humanly possible.
My mom walked West back in 1980 and I still to this day would still love too be able to set down and talk with her.
There's a million and one questions I have that I think of now that it's too late to ask my mom.
And when I walk West all of them will become unimportant since they pertain to life on this plane.
I still miss her laugh and the funny little s**t eating grin she had when she was up to something.
So enjoy your mom while you can, you're very fortunate to have her.

Hey, Bob-

I was just about to e-mail you to find out how things were. Don't worry too much about some bad days early on. My Dad had a 4-vessel bypass about 8yrs ago and is going strong. The vast majority of people do fine after these things, but the first couple of weeks are pretty uncomfortable. Having your chest split open and wired together doesn't make for a great week.
