Sort of a blanket message to folks that I'm still around, just been REALLY REALLY busy with work and family.

I used to be able to call people from work, but they put an end to cell phones there.

I haven't been on here posting in weeks, emailing, or calling people, just because I've been busy.

Roger and Coop, I haven't forgotten you guys!

It's a double edged sword. If I sit down and call/email everyone that's been trying to get ahold of me, I will have ZERO time in the shop. For now, I'm going to spend the very little spare time I have in the shop and do some talking AFTER things are delivered.

Just wanted to let you guys know!!!

Thanks very much for your patience.

Well said. Thanks, Nick! :p ;) (I couldn't resist.... )

Good to hear from you Nick. I was just thinking the other day we had not hear from you in a while.
Take care man.

Its good to hear from you Nick!

I really miss your posts, your one of the few who understand exactly what I mean when I say something that means nothing but upon further reflection, appears to be brilliantly stated! .......See what I mean?:jerkit:

I was wondering, but when I was able to get you on the phone I realized that nothing bad had happened to you.

Truthfully, one thing I have learned about Nick (and we spent a few hours in a car ride together in the summer, deep in conversation) is that his passion for his work extends to his job and his family, etc. Nick doesn't do anything with less than full immersion, and doing so ends up taking time away from other endeavors. You can bet his current boss takes full advantage of his skillz.

I sit happily awaiting a knife that will reach me someday. It's discretionary income for him, a needless collectible for me, and a project that, because of his truthfullness, has allowed me to be very flexible in my demands.

Be well, Nick.

Hi Nick,

Good to see you around and about again.

I've tried to reach you by email a few times recently without any joy. Would you mind dropping me an email when you read this. I'd like to finally sort out that knife you've made for me.

Cheers,

Huon

or, put in Hollywood terms, "The Return of the ADHD Avenger" :D Good to have ya back, sir:thumbup:

Thanks folks. I was never good at staying organized in business, and it's gotten harder with 60+ hour weeks at work. At least the knives have gotten better.

Roger, I dropped the package off at the mailing center at work. Angie said she'd email you a tracking number (this was on the down-low, but they assured me it would work as the post service comes there every single day).

Coop, your words sure made me happy. I TRULY enjoyed our time together and conversations in the car on the way back to New York. All part of the moments that made that a trip with VERY FOND memories. I'm working in the shop this week-end! I have a very specific knife in my sights :D ALSO, I found out that Sony screwed the pooch on their CCD's in many cameras... It's going to be a free fix :D

Okay, off to work on an integral! :D

Thanks guys!

Family?!? Work?!?

Get your priorities straight! Oh, wait, those are my priorities too. There are a number of guys (Greg Neely and Russ Andrews come to mind immediately) who don't really crank'em out. But that doesn't seem to have hurt their quality or desirability.

Good to see you surface from time to time.

Best,

John
