I'm actually embarrassed to say this, but I don't recall off the top of my head what he was carrying at the Guild show, but I do remember Mary had a "Mini CQC7A SF" with her.

John, I recall Derek saying that Ernie carried a hand-ground Commander made of damascus he himself forged during a trip to Japan. The article detailing the trip is on the Emersonknives.com website.

As soon as I saw this string, I jumped onto the EKI news page to verify that specific bit of information. All it says, is that the Damascus Commander will be cherished by EE forever, but makes no specifics as to whether EE carries it as his EDC.

I do recall that when Dexter Ewing went on his tour of EKI, there was mention of what Ernie was carrying but I can't seem to find the thread. Maybe someone can chime in and help.

Hmmmm,...during Blade West this past September, I remember Derek showing me his 2000 Commander, and if I recall correctly it seems that Derek's Commander had blue anodized liners. Nice piece!
And for some reason I also seem to remember that Ernie was carrying a Commander of some sort as well.
Maybe Derek will clarify some of this for us?
