Stumbled across this on Imgur and thought it was silly enough to be worth sharing.

I wonder if they used a wooden cross wedge? ;)

My daughter has made a few costume prop swords and pike poles using wood, styrofoam etc because the Anime conventions she goes to won't allow metal or sharp edge weapon-looking gear. Leaving that axe head finished as natural wood certainly conveys to onlookers that this is not what it's supposed to be.

"silly"? Why do you think it is silly?
This axe is made by world famous craftsmen of the finest materials available. The edge does not require files, grinders, or stones. Money back guarantee this isn't the easiest edge you've ever worked on. The handle comes with a lifetime warranty, as it will not break or crack.

I should say not! Now that would be silly.

Anyone ever seen one like this? I suppose this style has a specific name and use. Thought I'd consult the witdom of the forum to help me out. Thanks!!
