I'm Surprised Noone Has Asked; When Are The "Kami's Free For Alls" Arriving?

Any hints of what they've been making would also be appreciated! Or, am I the only curious one of the lot? :D

oh.....we're all curious, alright....just been sittin' on our hands so long, they've gone numb......:(

That....and UB is out of town right now.....

I'm all excited about these YCS's. Hopefully the Kami Gone Wild stuff will come in when I have the cash to get some ;)

Looks to me that were in for some interesting times here at H.I. to say the very least! I have a special khukuri coming that I hope Dan Koster is awaiting with either open arms or a running belt sander... ;) I don't think that the kamis need fear their livelihoods... :D

I wonder how many quality items a week they can turn out? "Success" would be selling maximum output.

In a perfect world, quality products are made with little concern for time constraints. I purchase them all the time (automobiles, clothes, watches, etc.) as you probably do too...

I myself would love to have the kamis work an entire entra day (or two, or three...) for me on my ordered khukuri, and I would be most willing to pay a premium. If the kamis really are concerned with their future employment, we, H.I., and the kamis should read the proverbial writing on the wall...

I trust that H.I.'s vision looks beyond short term goals.

If i am not mistaken, UB's mention of the free for all happened on july 8th.
So using the imagination to put together shipping times, forging times, and "forgers block" i think we are probably halfway there.

Yeah, you're right, but I would enjoy being in on a few "leaks of information"; come on', someone knows what's going on... :D

I am now hand sanding a Tibetan sword by Bura that was so wavy when I got it that I had to start by draw-filing it. I think that the power polishing wheel was a big mistake for Bir Gorka. It seems that now they think that polishing over the dings makes them go away. :grumpy:
I recently saw a Windlass sword that had a flawless finish. Not saying anything about the steel quality or heat treating, but they seem to have gotten fit and finish under control. There is hope :)

Well....that's one of the big variables with this free-for-all, Brian (imho).

If they're really hungry for work, the F&F will improve in an attempt to impress the buyers (us:D).

If they're just bored and need work to feed them chillins' then we'll just get crazy ideas with same F&F.

That's why I am reservedly curious - vs. anticipatingly nervous. (does that phrase work?)

I made a long distance call to Nepal...heard they misunderstood Uncle Bill and thought he said "...you can make anything as long as it has a sledge."

;)

"Anticipatorily" -- or (mo' better?) "anticipatively."

(Then there's that song: "Anticipation.")

We will see the offerings; remember that they are just that--offerings! :D

Don't konw if you remember this one, Tom....but one of my favorites was "Fascination".

As in, "Fascination Waltz" by Nat King Cole.

Can't be found on cassette or CD - only on vinyl. Just love it.
