I'm thinking about modifying my Bravo 1 Field Knife

Hey guys,

in a couple of days I will finally get my Bravo 1 Field Knife (the rampless one). I was thinking about removing the fingerguard, the only reason being that I don't find it "visually pleasing".

I would get a longer handle, so I wouldn't really sacrifice much safety by making this knife guardless.

My only concern is, and I'm sure it's a ridiculous one, that the stability and abusive quality, one of the great features of this knife, will suffer by making this modification.

Can you please tell me that this won't be the case?

I know, it's a weird concern, but it is one for me.

Thanks guys

Not sure what you mean. Do you think you'll make the knife weaker by taking the guard off? The only thing I can see effecting performance would be if you liked stabbing things. Otherwise I think the knife could benefit without the guard.

yeah, I mean it's .215'' thick, so the removing of the guard should have no negative effect. However, I don't know if and how skeletonized the handle is and if that might influence stability.
