No, I did not just recieve a nasty cut. It's worse. I was looking through CRKT's website at a bunch of their new knives. They have some incredible designs going. They are doing some stuff with Brian Tighe, and Koji Hara! Needless to say, they have some wonderfull looking products. They are even improving their mechanisms so that the LAWKS will automaticly engage when the blade is opened. More assisted openers!
But it's CRKT. I used to really like them. They got me into knife collecting in the first place with their Bladelock and the F4. But it's no secret that they are using low end materials on most of their stuff. Looking at some great designs, I become saddened to see that they are using 420j2 on almost everything. But they still look so nice! Will I buy these? I don't know.

On a better note, it seems they are using 1050 carbon steel on AG Russell's Sting. Props for that. Thank you CRKT for using a carbon steel once.

I know what you mean. I really like some of CRKT's designs, but why do they have AUS-8 as their absolute top of the line steel?

Didn't they used to use higher quality? I remember the S-2 with ATS-34 and Titanium, even the Apache series used ATS-34. The little Mirage in Titanium was cool. I still think the Lake Walker PAL looks good, and has at least AUS-8. I may pick one of those up. The new Weasel, and other assisted look okay.

The Ti and Blue/Black G-10 linerlocks looked neat, but I never cared for those, either.

I don't presently own any CRKT knives, but the PAL is on my list. That's about it.

This one looks cool.
I may have to get one... Looks ripe for an auto conversion. :D

I like the looks of the Edgie too.

The "one ass to risk" logo is funny..... 1*
hahahahaha!!!! whale eyes and chocolate starfish!!!!

Edit: Just saw the Plier Knife as well. Pretty slick... If only it wasn't 420J2, but maybe 440C. Oh, well. I know some people that would love one... Too bad this came out after Christmas!
