So I came home, my girlfriend, whom I had no idea had any idea, told me she sharpened her kershaw chive herself, on a stone I had no idea she had...and she did it right....

Shortly after that shock passed...she tells me "this needs to be replaced. I need something bigger" I just ordered her a Blur. I'm torn on the RAT to get her. She's in EMS, any of you guys know how to hide anything bigger than an izula besides a RC3 in a boot?

Well the HEST works well as a EDC and falls between the RC-3 and the Izula. Great lil blade. Thou I might hold out for the folder as a good EDC choice.

Your girl sounds like a keeper for sure.... just rememer... she sharpens her own blades... so making her angry with you might result in a Bobit event

Where did you get 100 proof Southern Comfort? I thought they stopped making that almost 30 years ago?

Elmwood ave in Buffalo. Seems they still make it. I dislike the current trend of downproofing going on. I'm still upset jack went from 86 to 80. I believe standard soco is 70 or 76 proof. My usual fav is Knob Creek...also 100 proof.

same here for the HEST very easy to edc though I find the RC-3 easy to edc also.

Yea I got my brother one of those. He calls it his tactical butter knife, lol

When I worked for a private ambulance service, they didn't allow open carry of any knife. So had to carry a Buck 110 in a pants pocket.
Those big EMT shears do work pretty good on most things though ~;-)

InsaneMachine and I partied hardy with some Romanian Tuica, a traditional homemade plum alcohol that can get up to 180 proof it's actually exceptionally smooth considering its high alcohol content.
