First off, for transparency, I am not a paying member.

I do, however, peruse the individual sale forums quite often, and have made many attempts to make a purchase, but I've been unable to to pm or email the individual trying to sell.

I know the pat answer. Buy a membership. And sooner or later i will. But in the meantime, I'm trying to give members money, and they seem unwilling to take it, because I can't contact them.

It usually turns out to be no big deal. The internet's a big place. I find what I want, and I buy it. But I'm trying to support the members here, and apparently they only want to play with paying members. Exclusivity can have a value. But it can also have a cost. If they want to move product and free up some cash from those of us willing to spend it, I think that's great. But if they want to reduce their sales exposure and take longer (or get less) of get what they want for the sale, I guess it's up to them.

Moving on to the bay from here.......

Sellers should have emails enabled; but many do not.
As one who refuses to post in ads, and doesn't want people posting in mine, I understand your predicament...but, if you don't want to miss out on a purchase, you could make a post requesting that they contact you.

You can also post a Visitors Message in their profile for them to contact you. I would add your email address to the VM. It's relatively safe to do as you can edit it out after they contact you and members profiles can only be viewed by other members.

Sales ads can be viewed by anyone on the internet so I would advise against adding your email to a sales thread. If you do, edit it out after they contact you.

Post in the sales thread that you'd like the seller to contact you and give them you email or have them give you theirs.
