I've been trying to post some pic's in the Gallery from my Imagestation album with no luck. Contacted them and they say according to the members aggreement they do not host pictures at other sites. It used to work, don't know why it is different now. Any other free (yes, I'm cheap!) sites available? Thanks.

Richard, the best deal I've done yet was getting my membership here. It's not free or even all that cheap at $35, but it's sure worth it.

For one, I'd like to see some more of your stuff. I saw a miniature you made that George Harrison has that's about the coolest thing I've seen yet. He wears a dragon you carved too.

Good stuff, hope you get to posting soon!

Dave

ddavelarsen, where can I find info on getting membership? Are you saying blade fourums will host pics? What about for other web sites?

Thanks

Hey Will, the Knifemaker membership will allow you to upload a picture directly from your computer to a forum post. I believe the other two premium memberships have this feature also but I'm not sure about them. This is a great feature and with the Knifemaker membership you are allowed to sell knives (only in the specified forum!)

If you want great hassle free image hosting, try Webphotos at
www.webphotos.com, I have an album there and so far I am more pleased with it than I was with Photopoint.

Will, go here:

You'll be glad you did. Like Guy said, you can load your pics right into your post. I think it's a lot simpler than going through all the stuff of loading to some host, coding the URL here, bla bla. The downside is you only get one pic per post; you can get around that by adding pics in replies.

Thanks for the info, y'all, and thanks for the kind words, Dave. George is a heck of a nice guy and that miniature project was really fun! I'm hoping he'll have that set he got from you with him some time when he stops here. I've been meaning to upgrade my membership here anyhow, but didn't realize that posting pic's directly was one of the benefits.

Try Boomspeed.com (www.boomspeed.com) for a free 1 megabite site.

I have been using this site to keep a couple of pictures available for posting on several boards and have been very happy with it. Like you, Richard, I'm cheap. They haven't hit me up for any money and the site is easy to work with.

Sweet, ain't it?

A Howard Clark sanmai wakizashi in my mount and polish. Howard's Japanese style blades are about as cool as they come.

..and the hosting for the picture is completely free. MMMmmmm...sword porn.

Hi Richard,

There are plenty of providers that offer you 100Mb free web space and you can use ftp with InternetExplorer to upload/delete/organize your files. If you want details email me.

Silent, thanks, webphoto's works great!

Galloglas, That sword just bogels the mind and eye, I can find no words to describe it properly.
