All,

I've had several requests to make the other images threads sticky. On one hand, it makes them handy for all of us. On the other hand, it's a bit of a pain to have a stack of stickies through which to scroll to get to the new messages. One solution was to merge all of them into the "Just images" thread, and that might be the right compromise, but then perhaps that makes for a bit of a hodge-podge of images.

Here's a proposal -- establish just a few key image stickies:
1) Just images (having really anything -- fixed blades, users of any kind, CRKs 'n' wine, CRKs 'n' watches, etc.)
2) Folders w/ graphics
3) Folders w/ inlays (I'd seed this thread w/ the contents of the mammoth ivory thread)

That would make for just 3 image threads, and of course the other informational threads that are quite valuable as well.

Thoughts? Counter proposals?

I think the 3 image threads would be fine. or even 2 image threads

If they are new threads then we can move images over from the old threads, which I think would be an advantage, because there are many missing images and empty posts in the old threads.

Sticky for the Woods, Annual Editions, and Mnandi's would be great.

Sticky for Unique Graphics.

Sticky for the fixed blades.

Thank you for doing this because it will make it so much easier to search through the threads.

i think 2 is enough. Just images and then one for fixed blades. everyone should just start posting ALL their pictures in it and stop making new threads imo. Keep it simple.
 
Thanks for the replies. We can always reconfigure the image threads if this scheme doesn't serve us. From the email and thread feedback, I've settled on a folder image thread and a fixed blade image thread. Thanks to AceOfBlades for starting the One Piece image thread which I've made sticky and re-named for our fixed blade site, and to DaveH for starting the several image sites that I've merged to create our folder image site.

It will take me a while to transfer older posts to the correct thread and cull out the posts w/ stale image links and text only -- I will do so as time allows. As you find images sites that should be merged w/ these stickies, please just let me know and I'll do the merge. Meanwhile, please feel free to add to the new sites with your images!

Jules, our prayers and hope for you that this Thanksgiving day finds you well, and able to eat more than you should! Now, TIME TO GET TO WORK POSTING ON THAT FIXED BLADE IMAGES THREAD! :)
