Images Working for Basic Members Now

Wow. What a deal. Can't wait to see what effect it has on the server, though....hopefully it doesn't bog it down. Wonder how many Basic Members there are....?
 
Doesn't seem like all that much of a deal to me:confused:. For $10, I should be able to view pictures I could see for free to begin with. I'm just glad it got fixed.

Thanks for the update Josh. That's good to hear.:D It was a pain in the ass to pay ten bucks and have less of a benefit than one had as a registered user.
 
wait....I think I missed something here...I thought you meant "posting" pics....:confused:

you couldn't "see" the pics at all?
 
Inline pics were viewable, but when you clicked on an attachment, it went to a "you don't have permission' page. Sorry for the misunderstanding--I thought you were talking about viewing pictures as well.

Ok. I understand now. I thought basic members were being allowed to post pics....that would have been a cool deal.
 
Well the posting rules say we can manage attatchments. Let's see what that means.:D Well I'm over my quota from all the past attachments I made as a gold member back when, but evidently you can post a small amount of attachments. Just the same as being allowed 5 private messages.:D

Now I gotta figure out if I can manage my old attachments and see if I can delete them so I can post new ones.

Well how about that?!?!?!? The pic is of my as forged chainpuri blade that I took artistic license with and the one that MamaV is holding in her avatar!!!:eek:

Look quick! I'll leave it up a few days so the newbies can get a look if they happen to check out the thread, then it'll be cleared out to make room for others. Now that I know I can post a few pix I'll be more apt to put the dig camera into use.:D :cool: ;)

Can't registered users see my pic?

I'm sure you have your box checked where you're saying it's alright to view attachments?
That's what everyone was asking us.....
Maybe I oughta delete this one and make a new post and see what happens?:confused:
It's the only pic I have right now of knife interest that I can put up. Perhaps tomorrow I'll see about taking a couple of pix of the Bura made folder with the North American Elk antler handle scales.

Under your name it says registered member, not gold member... I tried viewing some attachments and I can't, since I'm only a registered member, not basic or higher.
 
eh, and when I'm logged out I can see the pics, but when I'm logged in I can't... that seems kind of silly. Sounds like the same problem all the basic users were having before... although this time they may be intentionally preventing registered users from viewing the pics.

I thought it was because they wanted more incentive to get a paid membership, but yet I can see the pics when logged out, so I don't know.

KM, go to the General Forums, then scroll down to the Service and Support Forum and post your problem in there. Spark will see it sooner or later and get it fixed like he did for the basic users. Just a twist in the system somewhere ainnit?:rolleyes:
 
but a quick surf around BF shows me I can see attached pics posted from Platinum&Goldies. Why not Basic members tho?

Well I'll be darned. My gold subscription ran out and I didn't renew. Thanks Yvsa. I'm supposed to be able to view attachements. Must be a bug.

Now I'm gold again and I can see the image.
