IMAX movie and knife question??

I spotted a knife in one of the IMAX films, and was wondering if anyone else has seen the film. It was "Space Station", and one of the cosmonaut had a black clip on his left leg. I told my wife"look a knife clip" and then wondered what it was. Later on, they are working on the plumbing or wiring and talking about speacial tools, and pull out a panel to get to some wires. There is a cable tie and the cosmonaut whips out his knife and cuts the cable tie. It was quick. I think it was an Emerson or a close copy. My guess is based on the design of the clip, black blade, tanto point, and it looked like thick G10. But it was only visible a second or two, so I don't know.
It was cool to see a knife clip on a cosmonaut's uniform pocket while he is floating around the space station 250 miles above the Earth. I also saw a Leatherman pouch on the astronuat's "batman" utility belt, but never saw him use it. :)

I remember reading about that a few months back...unfortuanatly basic member = no search...:( maybe someone could dig up th thread...

I saw the movie as well and was quite impressed with how fast he had that knife out and open. Also, I thought I saw a pouch on someones belt with the Emerson logo on it.

All right, I'm glad someone else saw it. I first thought it was a Spyderco, but I only saw it for a second and I've kind of had Spyderco's on the brain lately. I saw the movie at the US Air Force Museum in Dayton, Ohio just last week. Is it being shown somewhere else?

The thread mentioned above was started about July 8th, I had seen it at the Smithsonian and had not gotten a good enough look to tell what it was. I just thought it was ironic that they can have one of them on the space station, but I had to walk through a metal detector to get into the Air & Space museum to see the movie about the space station.

a little free & subversive advertisement by Emerson, eh?
