Got something new finished, it way lying araound for quite a while now but I never got to take some good pics of it.

THis time I'll spare you from telling the whole crafting story :D.

So just some hard facts I got on hand right now:

OAL: I have to messure that :D
Bladelength: Just the same :rolleyes:
Handle: Imbuia (pepper wood) ebony and V2A (SS) Pin
Steel: 4 mm 1.2842 (O-2), 800 grit satin finish

Nice! The groove in the ebony bolster adds a nice bit of visual dressing. If the groove were not there, the transition zone from the wood to the blade would lose a lot of its zip and IMHO the knife overall would become more "plain jane".
 
Thanks a lot guys.

The ferrule was my first one, and when I started I thought I would never get an even and nice groove round the guard.
But it turned out ok, but now I really have respect for those doing all the groove filling and stuff in steel. But I guess with practise I can do that too :D.
