Posted this over in the gallery but for those that only hang out in the knifemakers section, here is it again:

Got something new finished, it way lying araound for quite a while now but I never got to take some good pics of it.

This time I'll spare you from telling the whole crafting story :D.

But one note for the makers:
That's the first time I was close to be pleased with the handrubbed finish :).

So just some hard facts I got on hand right now:

OAL: I have to messure that :D
Bladelength: Just the same
Handle: Imbuia (pepper wood) ebony and V2A (SS) Pin
Steel: 4 mm 1.2842 (O-2), 800 grit satin finish

Here are the pics:

Looking forward to your C&C. Questions will be answered with delight :).

Somehow Messerforum seems to no longer support linking pics to other places. But a click on the links should take you to them.

Maybe I can work out how to get the pics showing.

The links take me to a place that wants me to login with my username, and password(I think, don't read German well). Didn't work for me. Sorry.

Thread will open but it takes you to the login page if you try to open the pictures :grumpy:

Nice knife!! I'm going to have to have you make me a blade before you become a big shot knifemaker. :)

Thanks a lot Michael !

I was told on Messerforum.net that linking pic's should work again.

So can you see this ?

If so everything should be fine again.

That's a cool knife for sure. The blade is just about perfect ;). Are you going to keep the knife as a "take down?"

I really like that knife. It's simple, but it looks good, and sharp. It should handle a lot of different chores, too. Your finish came out excellent. Nice work, fella!

Looks good, very comfortable and handy looking, and a good job on the finish as well.

That's just clean as a whistle! Is your ferrule blued? Very nice! I really like knives with a fullsized handle (because I have big hands). That thing is just the ticket. Thanks for sharing,

I see it, and I like it, especially the ferrule. For some reasons ferrules really cause me problems so I always like to see one that turns out as nice as yours did.

Thanks a lot for your comments.

The pic with knife disassembled was actually taken before I finished the blade and then epoxied everything together.

The ferrule is made of Ebony, I already had troubles making this ferrule from wood, so I guess it's really difficult making one from steel.

This was my first hidden tang knife with a guard. I had to get a nice fit on the slot so I decided to use wood first for practice. But now it works with steel too.

Me too. ;) That one looks like a great all around Knife. Good Job!

That’s a very nice knife. :D The geometry of the blade is perfect. I really like the ebony ferrule.
