What is your opinion of them? I am considering buying one.

Thank you.

They seem to be be good lighters for the money. you may have better luck researching them on various tobacco forums.

Hi

I have some of them at home. Quite nice lighters for the money. I find them more practical for normal use than the usual Zippos.
Btw; They are not from the Austrian Military.

Get one. They cost nothing.

I like em. For the price , they are pretty decent.
The removable 'candle' is a really neat feature. The way you load a new flint is neat too. The adjustable chimney is cool too.
I think it beats Zippo in ingniting a flame every time. really sparks up. Might go through flints more rapidly though.

People always complain they feel cheap and tinny. Thats coz its made from pressed steel. Zippos are coated brass. They still come off as pretty fancy with yer average punter. Lots of interest.
The Austrian army lighter -- well , as far as I understand - the Imco is to european armies as Zippo is to US , at least historically .

May have already been said, but IMHO they're a lot better than the Zippo. Easy to change flints, easier to light (no need to touch the wheel), probably equal on ease of filling.

My favorite is the "streamline" model with a semi-rectangular shape. Seems to light even better than the standard model and a little easier to carry.

Cheaper than Dirt used to sell these for under five bucks but I don't know if they still do. I see a lot on Ebay but I believe the ones they're selling in lots of a dozen are Chinese knockoffs. No idea whether they're any good or not.

Great lighters I own 5. Go to dealextreme.com search IMCO $5 and some change shipped! takes a while to receive though. They drain fluid as quick as Zippos and you can pull out the fuel canister and it's like a candle.
