Not sure Gary. Looks like the image tags are not working, but the links are . We may have reached some type of image space limit.

Attachments have been disabled from the IMG tags IIRC. Attachments can be linked to for viewing, but will not display within threads.

Thanks Spark, is there a problem with the software that doesn't allow the attachments to be viewed in context with the post?

This must be recent as I was able to highlight the URL for the picture that was in the attachment and then copy and paste it as an IMG in another post as recently as a couple of weeks ago.

The software was recently upgraded, so that might have done it.

Anyhow, there's a specific reason we have images not showing when you attach them by default - bandwidth and download times.

Lets face it, you usually read a thread more than one time. Multiply that by however many viewers, and you have a whole ton of bandwidth wasted that really doesn't need to be.

So what's the end result? YOU wind up paying for it, because the money wasted on excess bandwidth results in fees to use the forums.

Link to your own hosted images all you want. But we have direct attachment viewing disabled for a reason - and the recent linking has just been attempts to go around it.
