Imistag Handles

I just received a knife blade and Imistag handles and have a question, well, actually a couple of questions. I noticed that the handles have a hollowed out back (is this expected??), which I assume leaves me with two choices - either modify the blade to avoid gaps or somehow sand the handles down flat ... any suggestions?

Second - can I use the regular 24-hr epoxy on that material or something like gorilla glue?
 
Hmmm... The Imistag scales I bought had the hollow area filled with some offwhite stuff that sorta looked like the bone. I think the ones you got are faulty. I do know I had to superglue the filler back into my scales because it popped out. I'd ask for a replacement, or try to find some actual stag. Consider European Red Deer if you can find it, they're pretty. Meanwhile, ask for replacement scales.
