Impala Jigged Water Buffalo

The scales are made of Water buffalo but are jigged to look like Impala horn.
Ok, thought that but wasn't certain Will.
Thanks for the quick reply.
Too bad it didn't have NS FG. Still tempting...
Goose.

Yes, it has nothing to do with it.

I have used it myself. They sell it at kovals knife supply near me. Its not much more (costs more) than regular buffalo horn.

Yes, thers is no relation, but it is pretty!

Nice to see you Goose. I understand you have recently joined us other drones in “bliss”. Congratulations. Just so you know, I am celebrating 25 years of droneal bliss on Sept 12 so I think there must be something to it. Lets see, 25th anniversary, that’s the knife anniversary isn’t it.

This is a 500 from Buck with Impala Bone scales. I'd love to see these on a 110 and/or a 112!

Mike,
Back in the mid-1990s, Buck did several models for Bass Pro with the inlays you have on the pictured 500. In addition to the 500, they did 110s, 112s, perhaps a 501 and a couple 700 series models. I have one of each at home and will have to check to see exactly which models were included. However, I am positive about the 110, 112 and obviously, the 500. I agree that they are very attractive knives.

Well Larry,
Yet another few more knives that I will have to add to my list of "must haves" :D Funny how that list gets longer and longer instead of shorter and shorter. :o

Thanks Wille :)
Yeah, I saw a 25th Anniv 112 on the Bay too.
Heck, it was time to tie the knot...I know I'm getting old. Was watching a commercial and saw one of the gals on it and said to myself, "she's kine cute"...it was a commercial for AARP. At least it wasn't a spot for a Rascal :(

LOL...there's a joke about Depends that I won't post here...ANYWAY...
I was gonna go for that Buffpala 112 but decided to get the Bass Pro 110 Willie referenced in another thread.
If that 112 was a FG NS it would have been bought yesterday and the BP 110 maybe next month.
Goose.

What is the tie in between an Impala and Water Buffalo???

Is that like a LiGer????

Thanks,
Goose.

Hi Marvin,

Congratulations on the knot tying with your lady;) . I have a few knives with the jigged Impala look. I'll post their mug shots for you. Yea I know one of them is a Benchmade. But, I got it before the Buck bug bit me.

Thanks John for the pics and the congrats.
I've never seen a Buffpala in real life...but it's now on my wish list. Thinking a FG NS 110.
Goose.
