Okay, I was looking around a little bit, and I couldn't
help noticing that the Impala has a similar concept to the paramilitary
as far as the handle and shape and blade material goes.
The paramilitary has the compression lock, right?
But isn't the impala a great alternative for those of us looking
for a smaller military fix?
Also, do either or both of them have similar liners to the military (one side only)?
thanks.

Nothing but the Paramilitary will do IMO :)

The Impala doesn't have the full flat grind of the Millie and P.Millie, and that would be the decider for me. Plus I love the nest compression lock that will come on the P.Millie.

At the moment, I would go for the Lil'Temp as a smaller Military fix.

PARA-MILITARY?
Thats just a legend, there is no such knife.

Now come one, you guys are being cruel. I'm carrying a production ParaMilitary right now.

It did seem to take forever though.

Collectors should be shipping next week.

I really don't know if I want one, could you send me one to carry for a few years to help me decide? :p

LOL, good one! :D ;) :)
But, no need to try it, just get it. It was awesome when I handled it at the Dutch show and at the IWA! Can't wait to get it.

You're carrying one right now, then you're being cruel to us huddled waiting masses! :D "It's good to be the king."

Seriously tho great news on the schedule. I've found the S30V to be great stuff on my new Dodo, Military, and Chinook II.

As truly exited I am by the Paramilitary news, we've drifted away from the original question of this post. My answer is that they're not even comparable knives. The Impala is a hunter/skinner and the Military/Paramilitary are obviously work/combat knives.
