So I've been having some trouble picking a new blade, I was ideally looking for something with a wharncliffe/sheepsfoot blade.

My question to you all is: should I just buy an entirely new knife or just buy an Insingo blade and swap it out with the blade on my Starbenza?

I just feel like if i were to buy an entirely new knife it wouldn't be a sebenza...

I don't believe you can just buy a blade, you would have to buy an Insingo and start voiding warranties. Not something I would recommend.

You can buy a blade but you have to order it from CRK and they need your knife to fit it. The reason the person who did it earlier didn't opt for that, he was in Austria and shipping both ways is more prohibitive.

Pretty sure CRK won't sell you an insingo blade if the knife as not originally an insingo...however, I will say the insingo is awesome. I love mine.

I carry a large insingo with micarta and it is a VERY useful EDC blade shape. If you like your sebenza, try an insingo with micarta inlays, you won't regret it.

Im about 99% sure that you can only get a replacement blade of the original shape.

So it would have to originally come witb an insingo blade.

I know I'll get railed on for saying this but just buy the insingo, plain or micarta, whichever you like best. If it doesn't float your boat then swap the blade to your Starbenza handle and see how well it fits, chances are probably better than 95% that it'll be perfect. I know they're expensive but it's your money, do what you want with your knives.
Think of it this way, it only effects your warranty if you sell one of them, otherwise you just swap them back before sending it in; and honestly, have you ever needed to use the warranty on a crk that is right when you received it? Probably not.

I have both the large and small Insingo and couldn't imagine a better edc blade than either of those two, it is my worthless opinion that you'll be very happy with one if you already like your Starbenza; and if you don't you can always sell it for a very minimal loss.

Good luck to you, I hope that the blade fits perfectly for you.

I'd get a new knife. That would be the fastes way.
Although it would be interested if CRK would sell you a blade (fit it in).
Probably the chances are pretty low, but i like the thought (imagine a damascus insingo-blade).
Let us know how you deceide.

Indeed, CRK don't do pick n' mix so it's a new knife or nothing....not that that is a bad thing, a new knife is always nice. :p
