On another forum I was reminded that I have an Imperial 432 skinning knife. It was given to me by an old gent named Warren Tuckmantel* in 1981 as a gift for my Bar Mitzvah. I haven't used it much but I keep it as a memento of him.

And next to my Schrade LB7 Bearpaw for scale.

* BF members who belong to the Associated Gun Clubs of Baltimore, especially the Marriotsville Muzzleloaders may remember him. He passed away back in the 80s, IIRC.

Interesting Bar Mitzvah gift. Maybe he wasn't sure if the mohel did a clean enough job some years earlier. :p

Come to think of it, I actually gave one of my nephews a very nice knife to commemorate the very same occasion.

Nice!

A 422 resides in my knife drawer. It actually belongs to my son and it will move on with him so I can't call it mine. Hard to see in this rather cruddy pic:

:thumbup:Both knives by the same company ISC (Imperial Schrade Corp.) Might be a collection in the making? Nice ones.:D

I didn't realize you were a member here, too. :) Yup, it was that photo which reminded me of the old knife.

LOL. I definitely got the most unique Bar Mitzvah gifts of any Jewish kid I know. Aside from the knife, my parents gave me a Numrich Arms Hopkins & Allen Heritage Model .45 caliber underhammer muzzleloader.

The Bearpaw is a user. Well, lightly used. I bought it in the 80s and carried it on my LBE when I was in a Civil Air Patrol ground search and rescue squadron. I dug it out a little while ago and I've been using it a little.

Dave,

What a neat knife that Imperial Skinner is!
Bear Paw is another...
So was the Old Timer Sharpfinger

I had the Case fixed knives with leather washer handles as well.

Rupestris, i recognized another knife in the picture you posted, i've got one just like that :D

Until I gave my baby brother and his wife both 84mm SAKs last summer, the yellow Frontier Stockman was the only pocket knife they owned.
